A Germantown judge ruled that the estranged husband of a murdered Germantown teacher is fully competent to go to trial. This comes following the results of a court ordered mental evaluation.
Chris Jones entered an innocent plea in the Germantown Municipal Court. He also waived his right to a preliminary hearing. The case now will go to the grand jury for possible indictment on the murder charge.
You may remember Chris Jones spoke with FOX13 in April, during the search for his missing wife, Heather Palumbo-Jones. He denied knowing where she was, but later that same day confessed to police that he killed her following an argument.
Palumbo-Jones' body was later found in some woods off Highway 64 and Collierville-Arlington Road.
