Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Two people are dead, and at least seven other people injured in an overnight accident outside of Nashville on Interstate 24 at mile marker 81.

The crash involved at least eight cars and two tractor trailers.  The Tennessee Highway Patrol says one of the tractor trailers was leaking hazardous materials, and one of the cars burst into flames.

Investigators say the two people inside that car were killed.  They were headed to the Bonnaroo Music Festival which gets underway today.

The east bound lanes of the interstate were closed for much of the night, but as of 7am, two lanes had been reopened.

A Manchester, TN farm hosts the music festival which is expected to draw at least 80,000 fans.

The identities of the people killed have not been released.
