A federal judge has given Joe Caronna until June 26th to explain why he should be given $800-thousand. That's the pay-out for his wife's insurance policy.
The convicted killer is trying to collect on his late wife's life insurance policy. This is the same wife Caronna was found guilty of murdering.
We posted the question on Facebook: "Should Joe Caronna be given the death benefits from his wife Tina's estate?" Many of our viewers thought it was a joke but Caronna filed a motion to claim the life insurance policy in 2008. He was found guilty of Tina Caronna's murder in November of 2012.
Tina does have one son, Todd Gray, and FOX13 spoke with Jeff Ward, the attorney for Gray, Tuesday afternoon.
He has filed on behalf of the son for the money to be paid to him and him only.
According to court documents $800-thousand was deposited into a bank account for the court to hold until a decision in this case is made.
