Staffer Allegedly Assaults Student in West Phila. School

Posted: Updated:
COBBS CREEK -

A lunch monitor and bus attendant with Bryant Elementary School (K-8) in Cobbs Creek is off the job and facing charges that he assaulted a 14-year-old girl on the playground with several other students watching.

This is the same school that made national headlines when a 5-year-old girl was abducted from her classroom in January.

22-year-old Christopher Robinson was arrested and charged with indecent assault and corruption of minors after school district officials say he pushed down on the head of the girl, and cursed at her several times on April 30th.

A spokesperson for the School District of Philadelphia said Robinson even used vulgar language when referring to the girl's gender, with other girls watching.

Police say Robinson went back to school the next day but was ordered to stay off of school property.

FOX29 went to Robinson's house for a comment.  A woman quickly opened and closed

In November of 2011 a parent told FOX29 their 4th grade son was sexually assaulted by a group of boys in a school bathroom.

District officials have launched their own investigation into this latest incident and say Robinson may be fired as early next week.
