ACWORTH
Due to inclement weather, the annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks have been rescheduled for Friday, July 19.  Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with the music of the Paul Hand Band, followed by a tribute to members of the Armed Forces at 7:45 p.m., and the band Flashback at 8 p.m.  Fireworks at dark.

Red, White, and Brew at the Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium will be hosting a beer sampling event in the Oceans Ballroom. The event will be catered by Wolfgang Puck Catering and will offer patrons unlimited sampling of both local and national beers. The ballroom will offer a great view to the Centennial Olympic Park fireworks show. No one under 21 will be admitted, and taxis will be on-site to drive patrons home.

3rd Annual Fourth Fest at Cook Hall

Cook Hall in Buckhead will be featuring all day food and drink specials, live music, fireworks and fun activities. The venue will be open early to provide a great place to watch the Peachtree Road Race.

Celebrate the 4th with Red, White and Boom!  It's a July 4th concert you won't want to miss.  This year's event features Midnight Star Live in concert with DJ Daddy Dre and The 911 Band.  Fireworks after the show.  Tickets available on a first come, first served basis at the Wolf Creek Amphitheater Box Office (3025 Merk Road) or the North Fulton Service Center (7741 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs).  You MUST have a ticket to enter.  Box office closed on July 4.

Atlanta Motor Speedway has postponed its July 4th Papa John's Pizza Fireworks Extravaganza to July 25th as a result of inclement weather.

Six Flags Over Georgia's Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration
Due to possible inclement weather, The Six Flags Over Georgia fireworks display has been postponed to Saturday evening, July 6. Coca-Cola July 4th Fest and exclusive ride times have also been postponed to Saturday.

AVONDALE ESTATES

The city of Avondale has postponed their July 4th fireworks display until Saturday, August 31 (Labor Day weekend) due to inclement weather.  The 4th of July Parade will go on as scheduled.  Parade line-up begins at 9:15 a.m. at Avondale High School.  The parade starts at 10 a.m., and proceeds up Clarendon Avenue to the Clock Tower.


BLAIRSVILLE

Blairsville Independence Day celebration

CALHOUN

The Star Spangled Celebration has been cancelled and the annual fireworks show postponed until Saturday, September 7 during kickoff weekend for the Northwest Georgia Regional Fair.

The July 4 celebration events at Tate Park have also been cancelled due to rain. The Fairmount celebration will take place instead Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tate Park.


CANTON

4th of July Parade
Due to inclement weather concerns, the 4th of July Parade scheduled for 6 pm in downtown Canton has been postponed.  A rescheduled date will be announced within the week.

July 4th Fireworks Display
Due to potential inclement weather, the July 4th fireworks display planned for Riverstone Plaza has been cancelled.  The city will announce a rescheduled date within the next week.

CHAMBLEE

The City of Chamblee has postponed its July 4th fireworks and festivities in Keswick Park due to inclement weather.  Instead, those festivities will take place on Sunday, July 7.

COMMERCE

Independence Day Celebration - Spencer Park
July 4, 7 p.m.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. with a demonstration by the Tiger Town Twirlers, followed by music from Hooch Holler on a stage on Little Street facing the park. A fireworks show will begin at dark, launched from the Public Safety Complex just a block south on South Elm Street.


COVINGTON

Independence in the Park - Downtown Covington

This event has been rescheduled to July 6 due to expected inclement weather.
July 6, 5 p.m.

This year's event brings a variety of musical acts to the Square. First up will be a 45-minute patriotic program presented by the Community Choir directed by Tim Barnes, minister of music at First Baptist Church of Covington. Following at 5 p.m. will be a performance by the Community Band directed by T.K. Adams, an annual tradition.  Also in the lineup are Vista Kings, Central Community Church Praise Team, Xavier Gordon featuring Olivia Adams, Church at Covington Praise Team, Drew Parker Band and Drive Time.  The event will culminate with a fireworks show at dark.

Sparks in the Park

City of Decatur July 4th Pied Piper Parade

A parade led by neighborhood organizers, anyone is able to participate in the parade. The event will also feature live music and a fireworks show.

DEMOREST

Demorest Glorious Fourth of July Celebration and Parade
July 4
Celebrate Independence Day at the longest-running celebration in the state. Activities include: parade at 11 a.m., followed by live music, children's activities, a horseshoe tournament, blacksmith, fireworks at dusk. Denver Bronco and UGA, Habersham Central graduate Tavarres King serves as the Grand Marshall.

DOUGLASVILLE

Due to inclement weather, The City of Douglasville has cancelled the 4th of July Parade and fireworks show. Duluth Celebrates America
This event has been rescheduled due to expected inclement weather. The fireworks will now follow the Duluth Fall Festival concert featuring Rupert's Orchestra on September 14th.

The fireworks celebration in Helen has been postponed due to the weather threat. It will now take place on Saturday, Aug. 17, which coincides with the city's birthday celebration.


HIRAM


The city of Hiram has cancelled the Red, White, & Boom fireworks show due to inclement weather. The fireworks show was supposed to take place on Friday July 5, 2013. The event will be rescheduled at a later date.


KENNESAW

Kennesaw's "Salute to America" event has been postponed due to expected stormy weather. The rescheduled date is August 3. Click here for more information.


LAKE ALLATOONA

The Allatoona Yacht Club in Cartersville has cancelled their planned July 3rd fireworks display.  The event has been rescheduled for July 20.


LAKE LANIER


Lake Lanier Islands July 4th Celebration

Clearview Regional Medical Center 2013 Fireworks Spectacular

Due to inclement weather concerns, the Independence Day fireworks planned for Drake Field have been rescheduled for Saturday, July 13.


PEACHTREE CITY

Due to inclement weather, the City of Peachtree City has made the difficult decision to cancel all activities for the 4th of July.  This includes the parade, Veteran's reception, Public Safety Expo, and fireworks.  The fireworks display will be rescheduled for Labor Day weekend.

POWDER SPRINGS

18th Annual Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks
Powder Springs' 18th Annual Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks, scheduled for July 4th, is being postponed due to the adverse weather conditions already occurring and forecasted for Friday.  

In an official statement, Mayor Pat Vaughn said, "It is unfortunate that the City will not have the opportunity to celebrate our country's birthday and rich heritage on Independence Day this year.  The number one responsibility of government is to assure the safety of its citizens; therefore, given the current and forecasted inclement weather conditions, we believe it is in everyone's best interests to postpone the celebration until a later date.  Once we determine the rescheduled date, we will inform the community."


SNELLVILLE

Due to predictions of inclement weather, the activities scheduled for July 4th have been postponed until Saturday, August 31.
