CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A Minnesota teen with terminal bone cancer passed away Monday, but not before making a big difference.

Zach Sobiech wrote a song called "Clouds" that reached millions around the globe after his performance went viral on YouTube.

The song was released in December and raised more than $100,000. The proceeds fund research into Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer that typically occurs in teens and adolescents.

Zach's family released a statement after his death saying they wanted thank all the people who listened with their hearts and helped Zach bring his message and his music to the world.
