Local bar organizes donation drop off for OK tornado victims

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

Newby's is taking donations for victims of the Oklahoma Tornado.  The bar opens at 3pm, and they will begin taking donations for supplies that will be delivered to Oklahoma.

According to their Facebook page, they're asking for people to drop off:  Diapers, Baby Wipes, Formula, Bottled Water, Gatorade, Hand Towels, Individually wrapped snacks, Work Gloves (no clothing).  

Newby's is located at 539 South Highland Street.

OKC Tornado Relief: NEWBYS 539 S Highland St is a drop off place for these items today from 3p-3a. Still needing volunteers to receive and organize, box, tape, label and load. Need Boxes and tape too.

Newby's (539 S Highland Street)  is collecting the following items to be delivered to Moore, Oklahoma to aid those whose lives were impacted by yesterday's tornado.

Items needed:
Bottled water
Gatorade
Wipes
Diapers
Baby formula
Hand towels
Individually wrapped snacks
Work gloves
Money
(NO CLOTHING)

Items will be collected Tuesday and Wednesday; however, in order to get everything boxed up and in the truck, please try to get your donations there by 3am on Tuesday (nothing will be 'turned away' on Wednesday. The goal is to have the items boxed and the truck full and ready to roll out Thursday.

Newby's can also use volunteers to sort, box, and load the truck. C'mon Memphis! Let's get this thing done!!
