The federal government is considering tougher DUI standards. The National Transportation Safety Board recommending that states lower the limit on what determines that a driver is legally drunk. The current standard in all 50 states is .08 blood alcohol level. The NTSB wants it lowered to .05 BAC. The agency says the lower limit would match the standard in other countries, and could prevent more alcohol related deaths.
