Have you ever checked your email at work while someone is having a conversation with you? Or sent a text or instant message instead of calling?
These are just a few of many violations in workplace etiquette.
Technology is designed to bring people together at work, but as one recent study by Robert Half technology shows it may also be causing a digital divide.
The report surveyed over 2,000 chief information officers and found that 64 percent of them said higher use of mobile gadgets such as cellphones and tablets have led to more breaches in workplace etiquette over the last three years.
That's up from 51 percent who said the same thing in a similar survey three years ago.
