Gloria Jean Logan of Tunica County has been charged with murder in the May 11 homicide of Rosemary Brown, the Tunica County Sheriff said Tuesday.
Though a motive has not been established in the homicide, sheriff's detectives said the two were friends and neighbors in the Clayton Henderson Meadows apartment complex.
Logan was arraigned in court in Tunica but no bond was set, the sheriff said.
The 46-year-old homicide victim was found inside her Tunica home Saturday. Though the sheriff has not released a cause of death, neighbors and family members told FOX13 News Ms. Brown was found stabbed multiple times.
Logan, a neighbor of Ms. Brown, became a person of interest and was taken into custody on Saturday.
Results of an autopsy at the State Crime Lab in Jackson have not been revealed.
