NYC Rescue Mission holds 13th annual Mother’s Day Banquet

Mother's Day may be on Sunday but today, homeless moms and kids from New York City shelters received special treatment. 

500 mothers and kids from shelters in Manhattan and Brooklyn received the red carpet treatment at the New York City Rescue Mission's 13th Annual Mother's Day Banquet. 

The special guests were given flowers and treated to elegant dining, which included Prime Rib.  

Last year, the mission served more than 180,000 meals and provided shelter for over 37,000 people.
