2 teens critical after shooting in SE Memphis

SOUTHEAST MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Two male teenagers are in critical condition at The MED after being shot Tuesday evening in Southeast Memphis, police said.

The reported double shooting took place at around 7:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of Mendenhall near Knight Arnold at a nearby apartment complex.

One of the victims was shot in the back. He was able to get up and run to a nearby fire station for help.

Police say they are searching for two black males who are seen wearing red bandannas. The two suspects fired at the victims from the sidewalk.

The cause of the shooting remains under investigation, but witnesses tell FOX13 News it was gang-related.
