Memphis firefighters are asking for your help to "fill the boot."
They're teaming up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the month of May for the effort. All proceeds from the drive will go to Mid-South children and adults with neuromuscular diseases.
One of the recipients is Connor Presley, who was at a "fill the boot" on Thursday with his father.
"I don't have the words to describe what it does for us emotionally," he said. "We just thank these people so much for what they're doing. This is what its all about."
The money raised is used to cover the costs of wheelchairs, leg braces, doctor visits and support groups.
