GLENDALE, Ariz. -

Glendale Police are looking for a 28-year-old man who went missing last Wednesday. He was friends with a man who was found dead.

Thursday morning, officers were called to a home in the 6400 block of W. Hatcher Road. Inside the residence, they found 33-year-old Fernando "Frankie" Portillo deceased.

They've identified 28-year-old Jacob Lee Medina as a person of interest in the case. He was reported missing by family members. Family members and friends last heard from Medina on Wednesday.

Police say Portillo and Medina had been friends for 10 years, and were working together in employment in the weeks leading up to Portillo's death.

Medina could be in surrounding states. He is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, with a bald head and full goatee.

Detectives are working all angles and investigating all possible motives relating to both the homicide and missing persons investigations.

Anyone with information is asked to call Glendale Police Detectives at (623) 930-3173 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
