The driver of a car that appeared to be pinned against the median by a tractor trailer along the Northeast Extension is expected to be okay.

The crash snarled the Thursday morning commute on the southbound side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike approaching the mid-county toll plaza in Whitpain Township.

Traffic was essentially at a standstill.

Police say the 22-year-old driver told emergency responders she only had a little neck pain after the crash.
