READING, Pa. -

A clerk suffered severe burns after he was doused with a flammable liquid while inside a Reading grocery store.

Police say it happened at a store on 10th and Cotton. The suspect walked inside and threw something flammable at the unsuspecting victim, setting him on fire.

A woman, who witnessed the incident and asked not to be identified, told FOX 29's Dave Schratwieser that she ran home to call 911.

Witnesses say the man could be seen rolling across 10th Street as he attempted to get the flames out.

The victim remains hospitalized with burns across the top half of his body.

Police are now looking at surveillance video from the gruesome attack. So far, they have no suspect or motive.

If you have any information that might help police, you're asked to call the Reading Police Department.
