Marlon Wiggins, 23, was arrested by Shelby County Sheriff deputies after he confessed to robbing two women at Shelby Farms Park Tuesday evening.
Deputies charged Wiggins with aggravated robbery and false reporting after he claimed he was also a robbery victim Tuesday evening. Two women were robbed of jewelry and their cellphones.

While taking statements from the victims, a park ranger observed a suspect, later identified as Wiggins, running into the woods. An area was cordoned off and searches were conducted. A sheriff's spokesman said he emerged from the woods and stated he also had been robbed, and he was later investigated by sheriff detectives.
Wiggins was questioned in regards to a third robbery and subsequently released.
Memphis police sent crews to Shelby Farms Park to assist after they received information regarding two earlier robberies at the Country Squire Apartments on Germantown Parkway and Walnut Grove, which are located not too far from Shelby Farms.
