Two children have been injured after playing with the family pit bull.
The kids were playing with the pet in the area near Miller Road and MC 85. Witnesses say the children may have been trying to pull a bone from the animal's mouth when the dog attacked.
They were both bitten, but one of them suffered serious injuries to the arm. He was taken to the hospital by air for treatment.
The other child received less serious bites.
The dog was secured at the residence and animal control officers responded, and then placed in a temporary quarantine. Buckeye Police are investigating.
The children are both expected to be ok.
