The photographs of Ernest Withers are now on display in the hall of mayors at Memphis City Hall.
Withers documented events during the Civil Rights movement in Memphis.
Earlier this year the FBI revealed that he was not only a photographer but an informant. The government paid Withers to keep tabs on Civil Rights leaders.
The exhibit will be on display through the end of the summer.
