Playhouse on the Square
Both a classic love
story and a daring pop opera, Miss Saigon is the story of Chris and
Kim, an American soldier and a Vietnamese girl who fall in love during the
Vietnam War only to be separated during the fall of Saigon. Years later, Chris
returns to Asia and discovers that Kim is alive and raising their son, and he
must choose between them and the life he has built in America.
Miss Saigon is directed by Jordan Nichols (Avenue Q)
and features Resident Company Member Nick Lerew (Hot L Baltimore) as Chris
with visiting artist Maya Naff (Avenue Q)
as Kim. Resident Company Members
Michael Detroit, Eileen Peterson, Colin Morgan, and Noby Edwards are also
featured. Visiting artist Gen Parton Shin makes his Playhouse on the Square
debut as Thuy.
Miss Saigon runs May 10 – June 2 at Playhouse on the Square Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm. The Pay What You Can performance is Thursday, May 16 at 8pm. Playhouse on the Square is located at 66 S. Cooper Street. For more information or to make reservations, please call 901-726-4656 or purchase tickets online at playhouseonthesquare.org.
