Picking strawberries at Southern Belle Farm

Posted: Updated:
MCDONOUGH, Ga. -

Strawberry season arrived a little later than usual, and several patches around the area are now open to have their strawberries picked clean! For many families it's an annual tradition, and Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken traveled to Southern Belle Farms to find out what makes picking strawberries so fun for so many!

Information:

Southern Belle Farm
1767 Turner Church Road
McDonough
(770) 288-2582

The farm encourages visitors to call before coming, but regular hours are Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., as long as there are ripe berries. If someone is not into picking their own berries, they can call the farm in advance and order pre-picks, at 770-288- 2582. Folks can always check the farm's homepage or Facebook.
