The owners of The Dog's Bow Wow grooming shop on 7 Mile Rd. say they simply tried to take the dog out for a walk and it got away. Now, Maizie is missing. The distraught family has been searching for their beloved pet since Friday.

"Someone came out and told me she had taken the dog outside and the dog had gotten away and run across 7 Mile," said Leigh Ann Swirple. "She hasn't been seen since."

The owner of the shop was visibly upset and crying when she spoke to Fox 2. She described frantic efforts to try and catch Maizie. The family just wants the dog back. The shop is offering a reward.

If you see the missing dog, call animal control, The Dog's Bow Wow, or us at Fox 2 (248) 552-5013.
