GERMANTOWN, Tenn. (FOX13) -

UPDATE: Still no sign of Germantown teacher Heather Palumbo-Jones, who was reported missing Tuesday, April 16, after not showing up for work.

Her estranged husband Chris, was in a Shelby County courtroom Monday, April 22, for the continuation of their divorce case. FOX13 News learned that Chris and Heather often fought about money, that the Germantown Police had to be called to their home several times, and that Chris had even called MLGW, pretending to be Heather to get the power turned back on to their home.

It's important that FOX13 News says Chris Jones has not been implicated in his wife's disappearance but we  learned that he has been ordered by the judge in this case to undergo a mental evaluation.

According to her Facebook page, she is a kindergarten teacher in the Achievement School District and a graduate of the University of Memphis. She was also a kindergarten teacher for Memphis  City Schools in 2012.

Palumbo-Jones, who has two children - a son and a daughter - and is married, has not been heard from since April 16, family members tod Germantown police. Her Poplar Avenue residence was found secured, with her vehicle parked in the driveway.

Her cellphone, purse and keys appear to be missing.

Friends told FOX13 News on Wednesday she and her husband, Chris Jones, were going through a divorce. Germantown police say Jones went in voluntarily to be interviewed after his wife disappeared. They also know Palumbo-Jones threatened to file a restraining order against her husband.

"Heather Leigh Palumbo-Jones at 33 years of age was reported missing to our department (Tuesday)," said Germantown Police Chief Richard Hall. "She was last contacted around 4:30 p.m. Monday."

Outside her home Wednesday it looked like a crime scene as dozens of police officers and detectives with evidence markers canvassed the property. A police helicopter was also seen flying overhead conducting a search.

"We're working a thorough investigation," Chief Hall said. "I have rescue officers obviously canvassing the open area around where she was staying and I encourage public, anybody if they have any knowledge of where she is, to please contact our investigative division."

The Frayser Elementary kindergarten teacher had recently lost more than 140 pounds. Her friends say she had gotten into fitness and enjoyed working out and spending time with her children.

Palumbo-Jones is 5-foot-8 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, has hazel eyes and brown hair.

If you can assist, you are urged to call the Germantown Police at 901-757-7338 or Crime Stoppers 901-757-2274.
