MARTA is looking at a possible expansion of rail service along Georgia 400. It's one of three ideas to extend transportation service there.
Officials are hoping to have a proposal ready to present to the MARTA board early next month.
One idea includes an extension of the red line to Windward Parkway. Jason Morgan, a project manager for the Connect 400, says they're looking into other possibilities as well.
The expanded service proposal would go from the perimeter north to the Fulton-Forsyth County line.
Officials say it's possible a half dozen new rail stations could be built along 400 over the next 10 to 15 years.
