Family of Roswell couple killed in plane crash files suit against FAA

ROSWELL, Ga. -

The family of a Roswell couple who died in a small plane crash has filed suit against the Federal Aviation Administration claiming that air traffic controllers failed to steer them around bad weather.

Jim and Beth Judson died in October of 2010 when their Hawker Beechcraft broke apart in a severe thunderstorm in Mississippi.

The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court cites the NTSB investigation, which found that Memphis air traffic controllers' failure to report storm information was a cause of the accident.
