A Father and son are facing charges for bringing a big gun to a "chicken fight" in Raleigh.
Police say Antonius Hart Sr. (45), and Antonius Hart Jr. (19), wanted some chicken from Jack Pirtle's Chicken Restaurant. They placed an order at the drive-through, paid for it, and drove away after receiving their order. Soon after they returned to the drive-through window, angry that several pieces of chicken had been left out of their order. The cashier offered to give them the pieces that had been left out but the father and son wanted extra since they felt they had been inconvenienced by having to drive back. Hart Sr. then raised an AK-47 style gun to show the cashier he had a weapon.
Both men were arrested after the police were called to the scene. The police recovered the weapon and twenty-four (24) live rounds.
Antonius Hart Sr. is charged with aggravated assault and Antonius Hart Jr. is charged with facilitation of a felony to wit aggravated assault.
