PHILADELPHIA -

Police are searching for as many as three suspects in a shooting that left two men injured Wednesday afternoon in Southwest Philadelphia.

The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. outside of a corner store on the 2500 block of South Millick Street.

Police tell FOX 29 that at least 38 shots were fired. Surveillance video shows two of the suspects leaving the scene after firing shots at one of the victims.

According to police, a 24-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were shot. Both men were taken to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. One of the victims was reported to be in critical condition while the other was in stable condition.

Several cars in the area were hit by bullets from the shooting. At one point, FOX 29's Dave Schratwieser reports investigators ran out of markers to mark the locations of where the shots were fired.

The shooting happened in an area that is frequented by kids who live and play in the neighborhood.
