Lang's mother and estranged husband are both fighting for custody and guardian of all of her funds.
The custody battle continued for four hours Tuesday afternoon.
Darius Lang is the father of the three eldest kids. His father, Lovie Lang, testified Tuesday about Darius' childhood, his parenting skills, and relationship with the girls.
Judge Benham questioned Lovie's candidness about Darius' living situation after Officer Lang passed away and whether he lived with his two young kids by another woman.
Lovie testified it appeared Darius lived alone. He also said he never witnessed Darius strike Officer Lang or the girls, but he talked about a moment where one child called 9-1-1 after she used a phone to strike her sister in the face.
Court was put in recess by the judge at around 5:30 p.m. and will reconvene at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
