Police Search For Suspect In Washington Square Bank Robbery

PHILADELPHIA -

Police in Philadelphia are searching for the man who investigators say robbed a bank in the city's Washington Square neighborhood on a Saturday morning.

The robbery was reported at the TD Bank on the 100 block of South 11th Street over the weekend, just before 9 a.m.

Police say the man walked up to a teller and demanded money. The man then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. He was last seen heading north on 11th Street towards Market Street.

Investigators describe the suspect as a white man, 40-years of age who is 6 feet tall with a thin build, salt and pepper hair and a goatee. The man was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
