The closings of control towers at 149
small airports across the country are being delayed until mid-June.
The first twenty-four (24) closures
had been scheduled for Sunday. The delay
will give the Federal Aviation Administration time to face a number of legal
battles from airports.
The FAA has previously said the
closures are necessary to accommodate the automatic spending cuts known as
Control towers at airports in Olive Branch, Millington and Fayetteville are all slated to close.
