Southern Airways airline moves into Mid-South

Posted: Updated:
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Southern Airways Express is a new unique airline that will soon call the Mid-South home. It's moving into the Memphis region, soon to offer daily service out of two airports.

The company's initial routes will include eight cities in the South, with five of those destinations served non-stop from the Memphis area.

Southern Airways Express will use 10-passenger, turbo-jet-powered corporate planes with all-leather seating and complimentary iPads for customer entertainment (which you can't keep).

The new start-up airline will offer no parking fees, no TSA checkpoints, no baggage fees, and plans to have lower fares than those with flights out of Memphis International.
