Inspector finds live explosives inside building

SOUTHWEST MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

A property inspector called Memphis police Thursday afternoon after finding live explosives in an abandoned building near in Southwest Memphis at the Mississippi state line.

The property inspector found the live explosives at around 4:45 p.m. Thursday in the 5500 block of South Third near Robco Lake. The building is a former strip called Tunica Caberet.

A police spokeswoman said the police department called the fire department, which in turn sent out the police's bomb squad team to investigate.

The police spokeswoman said the live explosives could be grenades.
