8 places to find liquor in Senatobia, for now

Beer, wine and liquor sales have been approved in Senatobia, Miss., starting Friday, April 5, but if you're looking for something to drink in the town this weekend, what you can find and where you can find it will be a bit limited.

Seven beer and light wine permits have been approved for gas stations and grocery stores, and one permit has been approved at Rio Lindo restaurant.

Gas stations have been given the green light to start selling liquor at 7 a.m.

Space was being made in the walk in coolers for the beer Thursday evening.

Senatobia is surrounded by four wet counties and until now, the city has been dry. Only five minutes from Downtown Senatobia, folks have been making the drive in from Panola County, they make the drive across the line to buy beer and wine.

As for finding an alcoholic beverage in a restaurant, your choices are limited for now only one restaurant in town has been approved to sell beer and light wine. As for liquor, you're going to have to wait a while longer to find that.

Senatobia gas station owners believe it will boost their business, how much remains to be seen.
