(WJBK) -

15-year-old friends Alison and Kylie were scammed.  They saw an ad on Craigslist for tickets to see their favorite band, One Direction, playing a sold out show at The Palace on July 12.  The problem?  The tickets were phony.  The girls were ripped off.  Their baby-sitting profits gone.

"I have a couple teenage girls myself at home, and I know when a kid gets disappointed, they don't really fully understand what happened," said Mike Silverstein.

He operates Silver Tickets.  The broker saw our story and graciously called Fox 2 with a plan.

"What I'd like to do, I have some suites for One Direction in July, and I have a whole bunch of kids coming, and I'd like to give them a couple tickets for those suites," he explained.  "It also will throw in food and drink and everything.  It wasn't as great as the seats that they bought, mind you, but they can still hear the show.  They can still see the show, and there's going to be a ton of kids their own age, and they can have a great time."

"Thank you so much for this.  It's amazing.  I just can't even believe it," said Alison.

"I'm not sure what to say.  I mean, it's really, really nice.  He went out of his way to meet you and give these girls some tickets," said Kylie's dad. "They've still been searching and hoping they could go to this show, and this is going make at least their dream for this year come true."

Brad the dad called Clawson Police, and they arrested the guy that is accused of selling the girls the bogus tickets.

If you buy tickets for One Direction or any big concert, The Palace recommends Ticketmaster or The Palace Box Office.

While there has been an arrest, there is also a lesson here.

"Just a word of caution to everybody... if the deal sounds too good to be true, which this one was, just don't do it," Silverstein said.

Thank you Mike Silverstein, and Alison and Kylie enjoy the show!
