Gas line rupture shuts down county building

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

The gas leak has been repaired and the building has been deemed safe for employees to re-enter.

Earlier today the County building complex located at 1075 Mullins Station (Penal Farm area) was evacuated due to a gas line rupturing.  200 Shelby County Goverment employees had been evacuated. 

Construction crews struck and ruptured a natural gas line while building a new road. Memphis Fire Department and MLGW worked to contain the leak. 

There were no injuries or damage.
