ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. (AP) - Officials at Robins Air Force Base have distributed about 9,000 power strips to cut down on energy use.
The strips allow employees to plug in multiple devices - like computers, lamps, and printers - in one place and turn them all off by flipping a single switch.
Base energy manager Dave Bury says the strips are 1 of the biggest opportunities to save on energy costs, and officials say the strips could help the base save up to $50,000 annually.
