Posted: Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say two members of U.S. special forces have been injured during parachute training near Tucson.

The U.S. Special Operations Command says two military personnel were practicing routine "free-fall" training when the accident occurred about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officials did not disclose the names and conditions of the injured special forces members.

Both were taken to University of Arizona Medical Center for treatment. Hospital officials say they weren't authorized to release any information on the two patients.

The Arizona Daily Star says the command has a parachute testing and training facility at the Pinal Airpark northeast of Tucson.
