SCSO Fugitive Apprehension Team Finds Missing Mother and Child

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

A West Tennessee Endangered Child Alert had been issued for 16 month-old Landon Cole Barnes by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on behalf of the Decatur County Sheriff's Department.

Landon Cole Barnes was last seen at his grandfather's residence in Parsons, Tennessee at 3:45 p.m. on March 26, 2013. Landon is a 16 month-old white male with blue eyes, blonde hair, is 3'0 tall and weighs 40lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and a diaper and was with his 26 year-old mother, Katie Lin Barnes.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Fugitive Apprehension Team working along with Memphis and Jackson TBI received information as to their whereabouts. The FAT team located them early this afternoon at a residence on the 3300 block of Vineyard Haven in Memphis which was a friend's house.  

Katie Lin Barnes was transported to MMHI for suicide treatment. The child and her vehicle were released to TBI Memphis and the Decatur County Sheriff's Office.
