Celebrate Passover at 11 City Diner with Brad Rubin

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Many viewers are celebrating Passover this week. The Jewish holiday is filled with religious customs, traditions and great food.

The South Loop's 11 City Diner is doing Passover in the Chicago style. The diner is celebrating two nights this year, with all the traditional foods and fixings.

Owner Brad Rubin says it's a great place to go if you don't have anywhere to celebrate, or if you'd like to celebrate the holiday in your own way.

Passover is a time to get together with family and friends to reflect on your history by sharing stories at the seder, and speak to why you're thankful for your life today.

The diner has been open for nearly seven years, and was a huge leap of faith for Rubin. Thankfully, his choice to strike out on his own and invest in the restaurant has work out in his favor.

He learned the customs and recipes from his mother, and could help the Chicago faithful celebrate Passover without her influence.

The diner is located at 1112 S. Wabash, and Rubin will soon open a Lincoln Park location. Stop by soon!
