INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Georgia's Allison Schmitt won two more NCAA titles Friday, keeping the Bulldogs in the overall lead after the second day of the NCAA women's swimming and diving championships.
Schmitt won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 41.85 seconds for her sixth career NCAA title, then led the 800 free relay team to the championship to keep the 2-time defending national runner-ups in the lead.
The Bulldogs go into the final day of the meet with 300 points. California, which has won the last two national titles and 3 of the last four, is second with 285 points.
Texas A&M's Breeja Larson set a meet record in winning her second straight 100 breaststroke title. She finished in 57.63, breaking the record she set last year (53.71).
