The blood type workout

Sometimes, no matter how hard we work out we don't always see the results we want.  But knowing something as simple as your blood type could change the way you exercise.

Khader says, "Each blood type is your own genetic blueprint.  As a result, the foods you eat, the exercise you do, would all have to be different.  It makes perfect sense."

There are 4 different types of blood:  A, B, AB, O.

Your blood contains different types of antigens which reacts with your immune system according to research done by Dr. James D'adamo.  He wrote the original book "Eat Right for your Type."  Each blood type has evolved over centuries and therefore has different reactions to the food you eat and now the types of exercise you do.

Khader says: "We know that since blood type As when they do a lot of intense exercise, they create more stress in their muscles so their muscles tighten up and they build up much more lactic acid, but it also in turn increase cortisol levels for them so they end up getting very fatigued and they will eventually gain weight... blood type As do better on more yoga, tai chi, those types of exercises."

Khader says: "B is for balance. They do well with a little bit of yoga and stress reduction and deep breathing exercises but they also do very well with weight lifting and cardio exercises."

Khader says: "Blood type O's, who thrive on intense exercise. The more intense the exercise, the better they feel, the better results they get from their workouts. They'll end up losing weight, burning fat, being energized, its a great endorphin release in the brain."

Dina says people with type AB should combine aspects of both A and B exercise routines.
Khader says, "The blood type workout" kit lays out a program customized just for your blood type."

Glor says, "There is also a stability ball, sand weights and an exercise band.... There is a nutritional guide along with the equipment. It is a total well-rounded basic program."

Khader says, "People did a six week program doing the diet and exercise tailored to their blood type... people in addition to losing weight, found that they had more energy, they didn't get tired in the evenings... they found they were a lot less stressed."
