Escaped Millington federal prisoner captured in Kentucky

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

The Millington prison escapee has been caught.  37-year old Travis Wear was captured by the Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force in the 800 block of Malibu Drive, in Lexington, KY this morning.

The convicted drug dealer has been on the run for two weeks when he walked away from the Millington facility.

The Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force was able to locate Ware from intelligence developed by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force.  He was captured without incident. 

Ware had seven years to serve on his original sentence of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Ware will face an additional charge for escape.

Ware is in custody in Lexington awaiting extradition back to the Western District of Tennessee.
