Spring is almost here, and so is the University of Memphis' newest energy-saving, money-saving program called "Tiger Bike."
As of yesterday the University planned to start renting out bicycles to students on campus wanting a ‘greener' method of travel.
Along with transportation, "Tiger Bike" allow participants to get in good exercise while reducing their carbon footprint.
A bike can be checked out for two weeks at a time. Riders must also check out a helmet, and bike lock along with signing a release waiver and learning how to properly secure the bike.
"Tiger Bike" has a per-semester registration fee of $35.
