Meet the 100th set of quadruplets delivered at Banner Good Sam

Posted: Updated:

The joy of being a first time parent is special enough. But imagine that times four? A Flagstaff couple is living it.

Last week, Jennifer Bromley gave birth to quadruplets. It was the 100th set of quads born at Banner Good Samaritan.

80 fingers and toes. How to keep track, nobody knows. But the Bromley's are trying to figure it out. And they have been since that third ultrasound.

"We go in for an ultrasound and there's one, two, three… and at that point I said please stop counting!" says Jennifer.

And to think they were naturally conceived. No fertility drugs. Three girls and one boy.

"It was a shock for us. We wanted one healthy baby. When they told us we were having quads it was like how did this happen, what did we drink that week, what did we eat that week? Because this is crazy," she says.

Mom Jennifer is thrilled there was a boy in there. And dad Daniel, well, he's already protective over his 3 girls.

So here they are, Amelia and Bruce, fraternal twins. Crissalyn and Delivia are identical twins who shared a placenta.

Born at 32 weeks -- quite a ways along in the pregnancy for multiples, and that's a good thing.

"So the fact that we got as far as we did and the babies are big as they were really a blessing for the babies. Really couldn't have gone much better quite honestly," says Dr. Jordan Perlow, perinatologist.

Mom and dad only married last April. They wasted no time starting a family, and putting their wedding vows to the test.

"I didn't realize that we were going to go through the whole sickness and health thing as soon as we did in our marriage," says Jennifer.

Do the Bromleys plan on having any more?

"We're done and we're not planning on any more pregnancies!"

The chances of giving birth to quads without the help of fertility drugs are one in 729,000.
