MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -
After a double overtime win against Southern Mississippi in the C-USA tournament in Tulsa, the Memphis Tigers will be entering the NCAA tournament as the No. 6 seed in the Midwest region. The Tigers take the court in Auburn Hills, MI Thursday against the winner of the No. 11 seed play in game featuring Saint Mary's and Middle Tennessee.
Saint Mary's (27-6) lost to Gonzaga in the West Coast Conference title game. Gonzaga took the No. 1 see in the West.
MTSU (28-5) fell to Florida International in the Sun Belt final after winning the Sun Belt regular season title. This is their first tournament appearance since 1989.
