At least 500 dancers from all over the United States traveled to Memphis to audition for Season 10 of FOX's hit reality show "So You Think You Can Dance."
The auditions are being held at The Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Memphis through Sunday.
"It is the heart of music land," said Jeff Thacker, co-executive producer. "You got the king of rock and roll and I think the people are very proud. They're very proud here in Memphis."
"We went for barbecue, we went to BB King's place and danced around like lunatics," added shoe host Cat Deeley. "The dancers here are all amazing."

At least 500 dancers traveled from as far away as Anchorage and Detroit for a shot at making the show.
"I've been watching this show since I was a kid and I've always wanted to do it," said Chrissy Rodefer.
"I was just in that stomach like 'ehhh, ehhh' or something like that," added another dancer named Smilez. "But it's been a very long time. I can't even remember but I've just been dancing. Every time some music comes on, I dance."
Memphis is just one of five cities that are holding auditions for the show. Auditions started in mid-January in Austin, Texas, and continued in Detroit and Boston in February. The Bluff City is the fourth audition city for the show. The final audition stop is in Los Angeles on March 22.
One of the hopefuls to dance on the 10th season of the show was FOX13 producer Branden.
Here's a fun fact: Thacker watches every single audition before the judging panel takes over on television. That means he's seen about 53,000 dancers perform over the years.
"I get to see the best, the worst, the middle, the ups," he said. "I love it!"
Speaking of "the ups," while our producer Branden didn't end up getting a golden ticket, he did leave with some good advice, new fans, and an experience he'll never forget.
Season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance premieres in May on FOX13.
