HAVERFORD, Pa. -

Police in Haverford Township say an investigation that began at a computer repair business led to the arrest Wednesday of a 71-year-old man accused of having more than 1,000 pornographic images on his computer hard drive.

Police say technicians at a local repair shop notified them of a hard drive they were working to repair that had images of children who appeared engaged in sexual acts.

Investigators, along with members of the FBI Philadelphia Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory, discovered the hard drive had 1,797 pornographic and seductive images considered to be child pornography.

Police say their investigation led them to Edward Jacobs of Havertown. Jacobs was arrested in connection to the images and arraigned on the charges.
