CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. -

A 50-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a 67-year-old woman in Haddon Township, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office announced.

According to Prosecutor Warren Faulk, Timothy Polijczuk was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident With a Fatality and other related charges.

Investigators say Polijczuk was driving a Chevrolet truck with a refrigeration box mounted to its bed when it struck Joyce Putmon as she was crossing the Black Horse Pike just before 7 p.m. Sunday night.

Putmon was rushed to Cooper Hospital in Camden, where she was pronounced dead, investigators said.

It's believed she was on her way to a bus stop from the Audubon Shopping Center when she was struck.

According to the prosecutor's office, the truck Polijczuk was driving was registered to The Crab Shop in Mount Ephraim, which he owns.

Police located the truck thanks to a tip several hours after the crash at Essex and King Streets in Gloucester City.
