Woman In Stable Condition After Being Stabbed Multiple Times

A 23-year-old woman who police say was stabbed several times in Philadelphia Saturday night is in stable condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

The stabbing happened during a fight, police said, between the victim and an 18-year-old woman.

Police say officers were called to the 1700 block of South 58th Street by the victim's mother just before midnight.

The victim suffered stab wounds to her back, the back of her left arm, her leg and the back of her head, police said.

According to police, a woman turned herself in around midnight claiming to have stabbed someone.
