Delaware's attorney general has joined 13 colleagues from other states in urging the U.S. Supreme Court to declare a California ban on gay marriage unconstitutional.
Attorney General Beau Biden said Thursday that Delaware joined in a filing a brief with the Supreme Court siding with opponents of California's same-sex marriage ban.
Biden said he and other attorneys general will file another Supreme Court brief on Friday supporting a challenge to the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman in deciding who can receive a range of federal benefits for married couples.
Biden was joined by members of the gay rights group Equality Delaware, who vowed that Delaware lawmakers will approve same-sex marriage in the current legislative session.

Our next cold front comes through tomorrow, with rain, in the morning and then especially Friday evening. With the blast of cold air that follows, we'll probably have a dry day on Saturday, and the chance of a Sunday wintry mix into the afternoon and evening.
